Pleix
Started in the early 2000’s in France, Pleix has become well known for the graphic art and music videos featured throughout its website. The concept behind Pleix is simple: build a virtual community for Parisian artists. The group is now made up of a wide variety of digital artists in the Paris, France area. These graphic artists and musicians create post-modern, surrealist imagery. Pleix has become most noted for the videos it has created. The design and directing collaborative has created music videos for Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada’s “Get Down.” It has also worked on commercials fro Heineken, Nissan, MTV and Amnesty International. The collective of French artists has won numerous awards starting in 2003 and most recently was awarded Best Digital Visual Effects for its Toyota piece “Gauntlet” from the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association. Pleix continues to build its digital database with independent work, commissioned pieces and digital exhibitions. To view the work from Pleix artists, click here.
