Lenny Kravitz + Phillipe Starck

The furniture collaboration between French designer Philippe Starck and musician Lenny Kravitz debuted at the Milan Design Week of 2012. The duo have joined forces to exclusively reinvent or “reinterpret” six of the Mademoiselle Chairs that Starck originally created for Kartell, an Italian furniture company. Using Kravitz’s studio, Kravitz Design, the two have revamped and added textile elements to the chairs. Using their individual styles, the new, glamorous textiles range from fur, leather, python, to woven materials, which adds an eye-catching and tangible feeling when it comes to expressing their personalities. The textiles are mounted on basic, plastic chairs that add a touch of contemporary and modern feeling. These chairs are diverse in the way that they can be used in a casual, business, or eccentric setting. For more information, please click here.
