Shin Azumi
“Enclosure” is defined as “cacomi” in Japanese, which is the central subject matter for the series of modular office furniture designed by London-based Japanese designer, Shin Azumi. The collection was exclusively designed and built for Itoki, a Japanese furniture manufacturer. The series consists of a frame, tables, and sofas, all of various heights that were designed to establish an intimate, tranquil, or spacious atmosphere by allowing the users to place the pieces at different heights. The flexibility and the comforting shapes of the furniture enables the customer to create different styles by distancing themselves from the idea of a conventional, cubicle space. The pieces are connected with an information communication technology, allowing the users to communicate between the different sets of furniture. View the collection here.
