Recognized for her subtle taste in playful and edgy styles, designer Rebecca Minkoff never refrains from producing luxurious items for her collections. With experience in the costume department and a keen passion for fashion design, Minkoff set off for New York City at the mere age of 18 to pursue her dream. Her career picked up in 2001 with an overnight sensation of her version of the “I ♥ NY” tee-shirt, which was part of a five-piece capsule collection, when it appeared on The Tonight Show. Her iconic style became distinguished with the production of her “Morning After Bag”, which was inspired by the theme of “downtown romance”. Minkoff’s luxury handbag collection includes her trademark leathers, studs, and edgy hardware.  With the immediate success of her designs, the designer returned to apparel design when she introduced her first ready-to-wear collection in 2009. Currently, the brand consists of accessories, apparel, footwear, handbags, jewelry, and a men’s leather goods collection under the label Ben Minkoff in over 900 stores globally.  The designer has earned herself recognition with an award given to her by the Accessories Council for Breakthrough Designer and is currently an active member of the CFDA.
