PS+A Palomba Serafini
Milanese Ludovica and Roberto Palomba are no strangers to the industrial and architectural design realm. Back in 1994, the founded the design enterprise PS+A Palomba Serafini and have back collaborated with some of the most established brands like Bose, Flaminia, Iris and Schiffini, by acting as art directors. As for their latest endeavor, it’s the design of the Jolly Roger, a new superyacht for Benetti’s Design Innovation 2012 project held in Monaco. Its original idea spurred from creating a “high-powered car of the sea”, along with the driven desire to initiate a relationship between the visitors and the sea. This 65m mega yacht isn’t a new embarkment for 140-year-old shipyard Benetti, which has built over 300 boats. With its elegant and dynamic allure, the ship features “large windows and a long deck that looks like a terrace overlooking the water,” as stated by PS+A Palomba Serafini. The Italian duo has received numerous awards like Elle Decoration International Design Award, Good Design Award, and German Design Award. See more of PS+A’s designs.
