Barbara Barry Dream Room Suite featured in the Henredon Interior Design Showroom

Raised in a family of artists, designer Barbara Barry asserts that she ‘grew up valuing simplicity and appreciating the small details.’  Her upbringing influenced her to ‘help others see beauty in all areas of their lives.’  Barry’s ethos is clear—serenity, elegance, and timelessness.  Specializing in homeware, furniture, and interiors, Barry’s eponymous design firm uses simplicity as their key tool:  subdued colors, lack of decoration, organic forms, and nature infused touches.  After establishing her firm 25 years ago, Barry’s company continues to grow and has expanded from creating intimate spaces to public backdrops.  Exclusive collections for luxury retailers such as Baker, Henredon, Baccarat, and Bloomingdales are a common occurrence.  With each project, it’s a blanks canvas—an opportunity to inspire, refresh, and enlighten the spirit.  To view Barbara Barry’s collections, click here.

They believe that the excitement and beauty of architecture comes from finding balance between opposites and creating an engaging space.   What attracted you to the field of architecture? My parents built a custom home when I was 7, being on site during construction I fell in love with the process.  …
